We invite you to Hongmi Park's solo exhibition "Apple's Trip" held at Paraspara Art Space, located on the basement floor of the Uiwang Paraspara Prana Orus Hotel.
This exhibition centers around the captivating red apple, a symbol of everyday choices and growth, and contains the artist's unique perspective and story.

Artist Park Hong-mi uses apples to express stories of human life and choices. In her works, apples are not just fruits, but also symbols of choice and growth. The captivating and intense red apples are also the appearance of all of us who look back on ourselves and pursue true happiness in the midst of our busy modern lives.

About the author
Artist Park Hong-mi graduated from Kongju National University Graduate School of Education, Department of Art Education, and Chungnam National University College of Arts, Department of Painting. She has been actively participating in numerous solo exhibitions and invited exhibitions. From the solo exhibition "Apple's Outing" held at Daejeon Igong Gallery and Jangsu Art Museum in 2019 to the solo exhibition held at Hyundai Department Store Kintex in 2022, she has steadily expanded her world of works themed on apples.
Paraspara Art Space, where this exhibition is being held, is a cultural and artistic space located on the basement level of the Paraspara Prana Orus Hotel in Uiwang-dong. You can enjoy a modern yet cozy space at all times.

Apple's Trip
'Red, the shining magical color. The charming red apple in the work is you, the author who chooses and grows, and dreams of a peaceful and happy world.'
The apple says, “The choice you make at this moment is right, and you will move forward into the world you want.”
In my work, an apple, a house, an animal, a landscape, a plant, etc. always appear. The apple looks ordinary, but if you look closely, it is bright red and attractive, and it seems to be looking somewhere and thinking.
The apple symbolizes my growing and changing self, contains the meaning of choice, and becomes the appreciator to the person who appreciates it.
We all live a life where we choose something every moment. Maybe we should make our own choices, but there are times when we can't. In the busy lives of modern people, we may not have time to look far away and think alone, or to make choices, and we may end up being dragged along by time.
But when humans can stand out from the crowd and think for themselves, when they can make their own choices rather than being dictated to by others, we can be truly happy and thrive.
My works contain the concerns of human choice and growth, various relationships in human life, and the happy world that people of this era dream of.
