Hello. Today, I would like to introduce an exhibition that will calm your mind and provide you with quiet comfort.
This is the first solo exhibition by artist Onram, titled “Forest of Rest, Where the Moon Stays.”
This exhibition, held at PARASPARA ARTSPACE in Gangbuk-gu, Seoul, during the hottest season, will provide a small break from the daily grind for those of us who are weary of everyday life.
About the Author – Onram
Artist Onram graduated from Chungnam Arts High School and Paichai University’s Department of Pure Painting, and is expanding his world of works with his own unique language that encompasses both plasticity and pictorial quality.
By incorporating everyday materials such as nature, the moon, forests, and pumpkins into his own symbols, he creates an emotional space called 'rest' through repetition, accumulation, and refined colors.
Just looking at his recent activities, you can see that he is continuing to create an active world of works.

Exhibition Story – Forest of Rest: Where the Moon Dwells
The moment you enter the exhibition hall, you are invited into a quiet forest bathed in moonlight.
And the white pumpkins placed in the middle of the forest speak in a warm silence.
The impressive elements in this exhibition are the ‘moon’ and the ‘pumpkin’.
The white pumpkin is not just a simple plant, but is also expressed as a medium of the cycle of life and warm memories.
And the 'moon' floating gently above it is like a comfort that gently seeps deep into our hearts.
Through these symbols, the author creates a ‘place of rest.’
An exhibition to be seen with your eyes and linger in your heart. Quietly put down your own emotions within it.

Onram's Message
My work mostly features night scenes.
I like to express the image of a happy family or couple looking at the crescent moon and stars in the tranquility of a blue forest, and the night when the family can all gather together and talk. Because it is the most comfortable time of the day when the whole family can be together.
Or, you could say that the happy times spent in harmony with nature while healing in a bungalow in a resort forest and the unforgettable memories made with loved ones are all captured in my work.
Creating happy and loving harmony with everyone in the world.
The inner meaning of the white pumpkin, which is the main theme of my work, expresses the harmony of love by expressing family or lovers with the beauty and nobility of the original purity of white. The shape of the pumpkin is also like the most noble, safe, and happy "mother's womb" in the world.
It is a simple and common pumpkin, but the message it conveys can be slightly different depending on the color. I hope you can enjoy it by combining modern sensibility with traditional methods. The fundamental source of pumpkin is "the love of the beginning."
I hope that many people will feel happy and loved through my work.
